ACCOUNTING PROFESSION GATEKEEPERS GLOBAL NETWORK

APGGN is a network of professional Accountants which provides mentorship for upcoming accountants in order to inculcate the culture of their belief system (Faith) in the discharge of their professional obligations and responsibilities.

APPGN believes there is an inter-play between an accountant belief system and the discharge of its professional obligations. This is not peculiar to the accounting profession alone, rather this same inter-play cuts across all professions and disciplines and so it is our prayer that just as the accounting profession always set the framework on which other profession build their practice, we believe that APGGN will set the platform for similar networks among other disciplines : for example EPGGN (Engineering Professional Gatekeeper Global Network). TPGGN (Teaching Profession Gatekeeper Global Network) e.t.c.

APPGN is a faith based NGO but its uniqueness is that it cuts across all faith. Generally speaking, good moral is a fundamental principle of most religion.

Therefore, it is our prayer that just as we have today APGGN-Christian faith, we hope our counterparts in Islamic faith will start APGGN-Islam faith very soon.

The motto for the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) is “Integrity & Accuracy “. We in APGGN believe that if a person passes through the rigorous ICAN examinations and went through proper articleship (apprehentiship) under a sound senior accountant,  he or she will definitely be prepared to fulfill the “Accuracy” part of the motto. However, it only takes the fear of God and a strong belief system for any man to fulfill the second part of the motto which is “Integrity”.

APGGN, therefore, undertakes to create a platform for committed senior accountant who shares this vision to mentor younger ones by inculcating the culture of the network in the inner fabric of the conscience of the younger accountants of the same faith.

We in APGGN look forward to a day that the various arms of APGGN world-wide will start setting agenda for the operations of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

These vision will be communicated to every intending member of this network.
